left handed 03:45
Got too much time on my hands Can't seem to make up my mind Trying not to try and figure out Who I am I left my phone at home so I could feel it all alone Going nowhere fast On the super information highway Living in the past Fashionably late to all my yesterdays Honesty hurts failing forward The new moon is thick between my thighs Highs and lows, that's how it goes These growing pains, it's all the same It's all the same Consistently inconsistent Walking talking paradox self fulfilling prophecy, sabotage me To me And I've been trying to love you on time And I've been going no where too fast Honesty hurts failing forward The new moon is thick between my thighs Highs and lows, that's how it goes Growing pains, it's all the same The high and lows, it never really ends And I've been trying to love you on time And I've been going no where too fast I don't know

slow down 02:43
Not slowing down fast enough Time waits for no one Not even the ones I love Running around, slipping on ice Am I moving way too fast? My mama always told me You gotta slow down Grow up And move out Won't always be around Once knew a guy hustling and bustling What an honest man, his name was Honest Ed I swear I saw him cry out of the corner of my eye The older you get, the more time flies by Biking around, running red lights Am I riding way too fast? My mama always told me You gotta slow down Grow up And move out Won't always be around If I don't remember It probably didn't matter Memories keep the dead alive If I don't remember It probably didn't matter Memories keep the dead a lie Not slowing down fast enough You're waiting for me, I wasn't ready for you But destiny isn't In a rush

try again 03:24
Hey you, over there On the other side of the couch Beware of the danger Don't be a stranger I'm your friend There is always abundance in your pocket Don't forget to check your corner The world is your oyster And life will give you lemons Remember to stay tender Squeeze a little tighter Believe a little harder Don't be afraid to try again Don't be afraid to try If you, ask nicely The universe will reply The universe will be inspired By your desires and conspire to help you There is always abundance in your pocket Don't forget to check your corner The world is your oyster And life will give you lemons Remember to stay tender Squeeze a little tighter Believe a little harder Don't be afraid to try again Don't be afraid to cry Unapologetic, underrated degenerate Underground and overslept degenerate No, I'm not mother fucking Ellen DeGeneres Because I'm way too generous With my time With my time There is always abundance in your pocket Don't forget to check your corner I'm right there We're right here

about

It's not easy accepting the dichotomy of who you want to be and who you currently are in the process of becoming. Nothing is binary, most of it doesn't make sense, and change is inevitable. How do we brace ourselves in the groundlessness of it all?

Linen & Denim helped nourish a fuller sense of myself by intentionally holding space and getting to know the hypocrisies and contradictions within me with care and curiosity. It reaffirmed that healing is complicated and definitely not linear. I hope this helps alchemize the transformational power of love, one that starts from the inside-out.

“Love is the will to extend one's self for the purpose of nurturing one's own or another's spiritual growth. Love is an act of will -- We do not have to love. We choose to love.” ― M. Scott Peck

bell hooks describes it like a stew made up of trust, care, affection, commitment, responsibility, respect, open and honest communication 💖
